Position Summary 
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Fleet Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position plays a vital role in keeping our construction fleet—comprised of trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, excavators, and service vehicles—in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment repair, strong diagnostic skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. 
Key Responsibilities 
•    Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and heavy construction equipment
•    Perform preventative maintenance services and safety inspections according to schedules
•    Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
•    Accurately document service records and parts usage
•    Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations
•    Support field operations by providing mobile service when needed
•    Communicate effectively with project managers and equipment supervisors regarding repair timelines and equipment status
Qualifications
•    Bilingual (English/Spanish)
•    High school diploma or GED required; technical training or vocational certification preferred
•    Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in heavy equipment and fleet maintenance
•    Proficiency in diagnostic tools and repair techniques for construction machinery
•    Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class A or B is a strong plus
•    Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection procedures
•    Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
•    ASE or OEM certifications a plus
Working Conditions
•    Must be able to pass a drug test on hire and expected to remain drug free throughout employment, random drug tests preformed
•    Work may be performed in shop settings or field environments on job sites
•    Exposure to weather, loud noises, and heavy machinery
•    Must be able to lift 50 lbs., perform physical labor, and work varying shifts if needed
